A better turn out numbers wise at this club day with the weather initially dodgy but behaving itself. By combining classes on track it meant we were able to have slightly longer races through the day which is all good! And reverse direction too!!!

A wicked class of Cadets this weekend - 15 on the track, although it was pretty daunting for our three drivers who were attending their first ever race meeting. Nathan, Dylan & Elsie-Jane did good and we hope you enjoyed the day. Cadet honours went to Brad Wilson, with an almost clean sweep, from Logan Brown & Jacob Smith.

The JR’s came out of the woodwork/closet/or wherever they go to hide between race days and we had a really good sized field in this class also. CJ Sinclair took a clear win from Aaron Wilson & Kaitlyn Wonnacott, with Joel Herbert in fourth.

Junior Yamaha & Formula J were on track together. Shaun Varney making a clean sweep, 5 from 5, and taking the Formula J win from Matt Derrick, who tracked Shaun all day, & Shaun Morris. Junior Yamaha went to Rollo Davies from Samuel Carpenter, just one point behind, and Jack Barker.

Yamaha classes had a party - Light, Heavys & Club Class all together. 21 of ‘em!! Made for an entertaining first turn. Actually, it made for entertainment on several turns on several laps! Sharn Connor won Club Class, Leyton Kendall won Heavies and Deon Forrest took out Lights.

Rotax & Open ran together this day also, giving them a bit of a party too. Again, a wonderful turn out of Rotax Heavies. We had four Open karts - which were all KZ2’s obviously having a wee shake down before the first round of their series in Taranaki the following weekend. Rotax Light went to Andre Elliot who had some great racing with second place getter Marius Holm. Rotax Heavy went to Anthony Murch from Warren Parris & Josh Hookway; and Open went to Michael Pulman from James Jackson & Brett Hollander.
