BACK ON TRACK!!!!
What a great feeling it was on Sunday morning to be going to our own home track at Rosebank Domain. Hope you’re all aware that we have a new track sponsor -
Moselle Panel & Paint; there will be signage being erected over the next few weeks but squirrel the name away - you may be in need of these services some day…..
It was a club day that ran pretty much as smooth as the icing on last years Christmas cake; OK, so there WERE a couple of ‘incidents’ - it is RACING!
The trolley derby was further up the road…………..
Not enough Un-rated Cadets for them to run on their own this weekend, but youngsters Leo Ganley, Bailey Cox, Tom Mathews (in his very first race meeting), & Olivia Ganley-Sharp all aquitted themselves exceptionally well running with the Cadets.
Dylan Smith was the flyer of the ‘senior’ Cadets taking the days win from Brad Wilson & Lachlan Smith.
Another good field of JR’s on Sunday with close, clean racing between Connor Westbury, Kaitlyn Wonnacott & Jacob Smith.
Formula Junior & Junior Yamaha were on track together; Aaron Wilson took honours again, this time from Jamie Lane who was driving really well throughout the day, & Jonathan Buxeda. Aaron also set a new lap record in the anti-clockwise direction.
Junior Yamaha honors went to Callum McDonald from Jack Barker & Shaun Morris - Yes, we have a second Shaun Morris! Our senior Shaun Morris has not gone Back To The Future
All the Senior Yamaha’s ran together on the track; great to see our two top flight Heavy’s playing with the Lights as early in the race as the opening lap. Honours went to Peter Stacey in Club class, Dion Kendall in Heavys & Deon Forrest in Lights.
Anthony Murch was back to the fore in Rotax Heavy but he needs to keep an eye on Cameron Dennis who will be challenging for this years overall points honours.
Kane Taylor took Rotax Light with a clean sweep & close racing from Daniel Connor.
Another clean sweep was Scott Reddish in Open from Nigel Kurtz & Anthony Murch.
