It was a quiet club day last weekend; partly due to the clubs’ shifter drivers being in Bay of Plenty for a round of their series, partly due to the 3-Way Series running at Mt Wellington and maybe partly because the weather forecast was dismal.
The Shifter boys had a better weekend weather wise, with only the final & the All-In being wet.
In addition to our club day classes we also hosted the Rotax Max Open Invitation Shootout. There were 7 drivers in this clas
s, running the Rotax DD2 engines. Josh Hart won this class and will now travel to Dubai for the Rotax World Grand Finals & represent New Zealand in the DD2 class. Congratulations to Josh.
The St Johns Shield was contested by the Senior Rotax Heavy Class and the trophy went to Anthony Murch by one point from Dion Kendall, with Warren Parris in third.
The Crawford Cup was contested by Junior Yamaha drivers Adam Davis, Danny Keene & Samantha Lewis. The 3-lap shootout went to Samantha by a convincing margin.
